The Blu electronic cigarette is probably the most popular and recognizable unit on the market today. This was one of the first e-cigs to become popular due to it being released and available before others. Even a couple years ago you could find the Blu in smokeshops and even some convenience stores and gas stations.
The original starter kits came with a three piece atomizer/cart/battery set and you could choose between menthol and regular tobacco flavors. Today there are five flavors available and the three piece has been replaced with an easier to use (and cheaper) two piece model.
One of the first things you’ll notice about the Blu is its distinctive look. This is a stylish product with various LED light tip options and battery colors so you’re able to mix and match batteries and cartridges of different colors to get a color scheme you enjoy.

The day my Blu Cigarette starter kit came in the mail was the last time I smoked a normal cigarette. The best thing about the Blu Cigarette is that it actually helped me get off cigarettes from day one. And it’s way cheaper than spending $150 a month on real cigarettes. With the other electronic cigarette brands I’ve tried, I would still get intense cravings for the real thing. I never had a problem with Blu’s customer service. I burned through way too many batteries and atomizers for my taste though. The bottom line is that Blu is for “social smokers” or “light smokers.” If you smoke less than 1/2 a pack a day, Blu is a good choice. But if you’re a heavy smoker, it just can’t keep up. -bestecigreviews
Does Blu Actually Work? Is it A Scam?
The Blu electronic cigarette actually worked right away to eliminate my nicotine cravings. I honestly didn’t think it would work as well as it did because I was a smoker for over 10 years before I started seeing these kinds of products on the market. I was hesitant to shell out the initial $70 the starter kit cost, but after just a week of use I realized I’d already saved about $35 that I would’ve spent on normal cigarettes anyway. This unit is definitely a great way to quit smoking or just smoke a little bit less than you used to.
This unit was a great conversation piece whenever I used it in public due to its standard blue LED and black battery. It’s pretty sleek looking and people might ask you about it.
Blu – Side Effects:
The only side effects you might experience while using the Blu cigarette are purely nicotine related. If you were or are a heavy smoker you experience a lot of cravings throughout the day but if you have the Blu cigarette on you, it’s very easily get rid of those cravings quickly. The Blu cigarette starts off at 16 mg of nicotine in the highest cartridges which is less nicotine than some other brands have in their high cartridges. This gives you a good starting point so you’re not taking in too much nicotine at once but are still able to nail those annoying cravings. You can then tailor the cartridges to suit you better.
Conclusion
The Blu e-cig is the perfect jumping in point for someone with no experience with electronic cigarettes whatsoever. When I first started using these by using the Blu in public and the Njoy Npro while at home because the Blu battery seemed to last a little bit longer. When I started using it there was just a single starter kit available now there’ll many different kits and even a whole line of disposable models that make it much easier to check out this product. If you’re looking for a nicotine replacement device, want to quit smoking, or just want something you can use for normal cigarettes simply aren’t allowed, you should definitely check out the Blu electric cigarette.
The main issue you may face using the Blu is that the normal batteries don’t last terribly long (opt for the bigger ones if you can) and they’re automatic. This sometimes feels like you’re limited on how much of a drag you can take. If you’ve used e-cigs before you might want to move onto something a little different that gives you a bit more control over your vapor amount.

if youre new to vaping—do your homework. there are less expensive quality products out there. Blu-cig is not one of them. they sell a product relying on marketing gimics—advice- find a company that doesnt rely on models and showing how cool they are—find real quality! i now use joytech—very happy, quality is head and shoulders above blu. im sure there are other brands out there—do your homework!
Hi Pr, I agree there are less expensive ones out there for sure. This is just a great product for people just entering the e-cig world who want something that’s pretty dang easy to use right out of the box. I like Joytech a lot but it’s not for a noob. What was the first one you ever tried?
Hey, don’t believe people who say this is bad. You just need to know what you’re getting. The BLU probably isn’t the best choice for a pure pack a day replacement BUT the thing works amazingly well. Get the charging case, a couple batteries and a 5 pack and it should last about a week. The batteries ARE small so get more if you plan to use it a bunch. I love mine.
THis is a sleek little thing. It looks like something they’d smoke in startrek. I think it looks nice and I use it in places people would normally get mad at me like a bus stop and break room.
I got the BLU disposable on my way home one day and it was just too weird looking for me. I’d say go with something else. I tried a cig 2.0 thing and it looked better but didn’t work as good
I think I’ll try a green smoker next.
CAUTION: only use the BLU if you like the way it looks or like the ease of use you get from the personal charging kit! This is not a good all day e-cig. The battery is super sensitive so it will give you massive hits but its also very small so it will die OFTEN. If you like it the only way to use it effectively is keep 3-5 batteries and fully filled cartridges in the PCC at all times and rotate them all day.
On a diff. note, the flavors are strong and very tasty.
